Less Commonly Used Electronic Test Equipment

As an electrician, you are required to know any kinds of electronic test equipment. Of all electronic test devices, some of them are the basic ones and some others are the less commonly used ones. The less used devices are usually the advanced devices. Do you know the examples of that kind of device? If not, check the information below:

1. Meters
The first less commonly used electronic test equipment is meters. There are seven devices that are grouped as meters. They are solenoid Voltmeter or Wiggy, Electrometer that is used to measure voltages and sometimes also to charge effect, clamp meter to measure current transducer, EMF Meter to measure magnetic and electric fields, Wheatstone bridge to measure resistance precisely, LCR meter to measure capacitance, inductance, and resistance, and capacitance meter to measure capacitance.

2. Probes
Next, there is probes that are also considered less commonly used. There are only two devices grouped as probes. They are signal tracer and EF probe.

3. Analyzers
And here is analyzer. There are six devices include here. They are logic analyzer to test digital circuit, semiconductor curve tracer, time-domain reflectometer to test long cables integrity, protocol analyzer to test performance, functionality, and the conformance of the protocols, and VSA or Vector Signal Analyzer to perform significant functions of digital demodulations.

4. Signal-Generating Devices
Next, there are signal-generating devices. There are 6 devices. They are signal generator, frequency synthesizer, signal injector, frequency synthesizer, digital pattern generator, and function generator.

5. Some Other Devices
In addition, there are some other equipment that are not really often used. Some of them are tube tester, continuity tester, test light, hipot tester, cable tester, and network analyzer.
