The IEEE1394 serial bus is an interconnect standard running up to 400�Mb/s, used for computer peripherals, such as digital cameras and disk drives.

The IEEE1394 Adapter allows you to probe signals on the bus, external to system enclosures, without disturbing system operation. The adapter maintains a balanced 55 ? signal path, is hot-pluggable and can be used in both single-ended and differential modes.
