This is the ideal field-installable shrouded banana jack because it eliminates the most common difficulty associated with solder-type shrouded banana jacks: Getting the jack hot enough to make a proper solder connection to the lead wire without overheating the jack and melting the plastic shrouded tip.

Each do-it-yourself banana jack has two, nickel-plated set screws that make solid contact with the wire and wire insulation to unquestionably insure a reliable long-lasting secure electrical and mechanical connection.

Please note: Set screws are tightened with a 1.5mm hex key wrench sold separately below.
