BK Precision 1680 dc power supply is a fixed output, regulated, bench top dc power supply that supplies up to 6A at 13.8V. Output is provided via a female "cigarette lighter" (or car power accessory) adapter. The BK 1680 power supply was designed as a substitute for car batteries when demonstrating or servicing car stereos, cellular phone products or ham radios. Car batteries are heavy, leak acid, spark, can't tolerate shorted outputs and must be recharged. This dc power supply provides maximum current output continuously without overheating.

BK Precision 1680 power supply and related models are the only bench top dc power supplies in their price range built to withstand continuous duty. Power supply is fully overload protected against reverse polarity, current foldback and short circuits. DC power supplys carry a one-year BK Precision warranty
