BK Precision 1688A dc power supply is a variable output, regulated, bench top dc power supply capable of outputing 3 - 14V and 4.5 - 20A proportionate to output voltage (see specs below). These BK Precision dc power supplies are ideal substitutes for car batteries when demonstrating or servicing car stereos, cellular phone products or ham radios. Car batteries are heavy, leak acid, spark, can't tolerate shorted outputs and must be recharged. These dc power supplies provide maximum current output continuously without overheating.

BK Precision 1688A dc power supplies feature excellent regulation and may be operated for hours without thermal drifting. Power supply voltage and current output is continuously monitored on two analog meters. Reliable design may be operated continuously at full load without overheating.
